WEConnect Community and Services has a large South Asian community following. Over the past few years, we have welcomed all to Vaughan City Hall on August 15 to commemorate this occasion. We invite speakers to deliver speeches about India’s History, enjoy lively music, march together as a parade holding up India’s flag, provide a delicious meal for every member, and meet new people within the community. We have compiled pictures and videos over the years to share a piece of our culture with you.

WEConnect is all about Women’s Empowerment. We love giving back to the community on every occasion we have the opportunity. There are many disadvantaged women around the world who aren’t given the same opportunities as men purely due to the face that they are women. This label often connotes weakness in many cultures and societies. We are here to remind people that women are strong, independent, and powerful. They are able to take control of their lives and sustain themselves. WEConnect programs for International Women’s Day are held every year. On this day, we strive to bring women together, educate them, treat them, and pamper them. The focus of our events in the past has been to celebrate and inspire with our services to senior citizens and women facing challenges. Our staff and volunteers serve with compassion and kindness.

Vaughan’s annual Santa Fest Parade is an excellent winter community activity WEConnect loves participating in. WEConnect staff, volunteers, and members came together on this day to celebrate the winter festive season with the Santa Fest Parade!

North York Community Celebrated the Christmas season with the WEConnect CS team at the Parkway Forest Community Centre. It was wonderful to see the excitement on children’s faces as they entered the festively decorated hall ready for Santa’s arrival.
